Historical United Nations Security Council (UNSC)

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations (UN), charged with the maintenance of international peace and security as well as accepting new members to the United Nations and approving any changes to its United Nations Charter. Its powers include the establishment of peacekeeping operations, the establishment of international sanctions and the authorization of military action through Security Council resolutions; it is the only UN body with the authority to issue binding resolutions to member states. 

In our historical UNSC Committee, our delegates will be in the year of 1975. They will take actions regarding the ongoing tension between USA and USSR. This committee will be linked to our JCC committee in terms of crises and updates. Moreover, delegates of both commitees will be able to collabrate with each other regarding the Angolan Civil War.

Joint Crisis Cabinet: Angolan Civil War

(JCC)

Joint Crisis Cabinet: Angolan Civil War is related to the Historical United Nations Security Council. This committee ables delegates to collaborate among themselves in terms of updates and crises. Angolan civil war was a disaster for whole country, since it had broke out just after the Independence War of Angola (1961-1974). Angolan Civil War first seemed to be a typical war in which left wing and right wing parties of the country fought each other in order to determine which one is going to be the ruling party. Later, it took its place in the list of the wars that shaped the Cold War between USSR and USA.
